Chapter 2: The Sign
It seemed like a new day. The air was brisk. As usual I hated it. Without Lynn I was nothing. At least I had to keep a happy mood for my sister and Hikaru. They never like to see me so depressed. Kiki knew nothing of Lynn. She has never met Lynn. I feel thankful for that or she would have felt my pain. One thing is, I dont like to share. Especially the fact that I dont ever want to break Kikis happiness. Someday I will tell her what happened to Lynn, and who she is. Now isnt the time. Then I saw something that frightened me. A girl was standing around the gate of the school. She must have been new since she looked shy. It seemed like she didnt know where to go. I examined her closely. She had light brown hair. It was a bit long. She looked skinny. Her skin was a bit pale, like mine.
I then looked at her eyes. This had frightened me the most. The left eye was green. The right eye was blue. I stood silent. I was starring. My red frightening eyes grew blank.
No, it cant be possible. I mumbled to myself in fear. This girl was another one. Just like me. Another girl that could control the shape, size, motion, and atmosphere of the Earth. I feared that she may be a sign that the darkness shall come back. It shall come back. Looking for me and this girl next. I paused for a short moment. I shivered. Haru? Are you okay? Hikaru looked at me with a worried look. I looked at him then shook my head. No everything is alright. Im just spacing out. I said calmly turning my attention back to the girl. Kiki didnt think I was okay. I could tell because every time she was worried I would have this heavy feeling in my heart. Kiki then stood up. The bell is about to ring. Im going to go over to the front gate. Her voice quiet. She walked over to the gate while Hikaru and I stayed, sitting on the bench. Kiki was walking strait toward the girl. This left me worried. I took a deep breath. Haru are you sure youre okay? You seem really tense. Hikaru gave me a stern look. I glared back at him. No, Im fine, really. Thanks for the concern Hikaru. Right now I want to be alone. I said to him, getting up throwing my bag over my shoulder, then walking away. I needed to think. I wanted to be alone. It seemed that in hopes of the darkness to come back. They may have Lynn in there captivity. Maybe, she isnt really gone. I sighed with hope. Then the bell rang. I turned around to see my sister and the girl laughing about something. I then put on my serious look, then headed inside the school gates to get to my class.
